More bodies led to some uncertainty during the game.  However, after a shaky start the game ended with Clydebank running in winners against a much improved Police team in comparison to last year.   A large set of backs and aggressive forwards made it difficult for Clydebank early on but some fine ball retention in rucks and mauls allowed Clydebank to maintain the possession needed to attack the line and score.

A total of four tries were scored by Graeme Kyle (2), Paul Andrews (1) and Ross Moffat (1).  David Miller converted the first three tries with Ross Moffat, rather unusually, unsuccessful in converting his own final try of the game.

The Strathclyde Police fan site (link) is another fine source of memories of this game.
